Courten Family Lost Everything Fundraiser

On Sunday, June 14, 2020, the founder of Docky D Altruists received a phone call from one of our supporters. The phone call started off with “please pray for” and he continued to tell her that another DDAC supporter and his family lost everything in a house fire this morning.  With all that’s going on in the world, the Courten family (Alrick, Abiola, and their 2 children) now have to deal with not having a home, food, clothing, car, and cherished memories. Yes, they have their lives, thankfully no one was seriously injured, but they were left with only the clothes on their backs.

While COVID-19 has changed everyday living, it has not changed the mission, vision, and purpose of DDAC, which is to help the less fortunate. Lori Smith, founder of DDAC and the DDAC Board are asking our past supporters and hopefully new supporters to join us in raising funds for this lovely family to help them rebuild memories & replace lost items. Donations can be made directly on this page; 100% of your donation will go to the Courten ​family.
